The Inspiration Behind The Hospital

Smt. Samta Purushottam Agrawal, the strength behind Purushottam Agrawal, Founder of Ajanta Pharma Ltd., lost her valiant battle to cancer on 5th March 2011. She was full of unconditional love with incredible willpower, creativity, and enthusiasm and a source of motivation and inspiration to all who came in touch with her.

Mamta and Madhusudan Agrawal Foundation dedicated their first major project to her loving memory.

“Samta Purushottam Agrawal Cancer Hospital & Research Institute” is being built at Agroha, Hissar, Haryana, in association with Maharaja Agrasen Medical Education & Scientific Research Society and technical collaboration with Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai. This institute will have the latest technological arrangements for cancer diagnosis, management and treatment. The foundation stone for this 100-bed hospital was laid on 5th March 2021, and wish to complete it by November 2022. It will be a part of the Maharaja Agrasen Medical College, Agroha (Hisar) which has an existing set up of a 700-bedded hospital and a Medical College with an intake of 100 seats spread across 270 acres.
